Neighborhood Harvest is offering a fruit CSA again this year. All fruit is pesticide free and harvested within 16 miles of Ashland.
Each share will be about $10 of fruit each week - about 20 medium apples (5#), enough for two people who eat fruit every day.
Fruits will vary with the season, but include cherries, plums, apples, pears, figs, grapes, persimmons, quinces, black walnuts, and some almonds.
Boxes can be picked up at the Tuesday Grower's Market in Ashland once a week from mid June to mid November (20 weeks). Other pickup days and locations are available as well.
Cost is $165 for all 20 weeks - about a dollar a day. Half shares are $85. Home delivery available for an added fee.
CSA members are invited to join in local harvests and cider pressing parties in the fall.
Farm Bucks are also available at a 5% discount and can be used for fruit and nuts from Neighborhood Harvest in addition to 3 local farms (Village Farm, Happy Dirt Veggie Patch and Meadowlark Family Farm) at the Growers Market in Ashland. Available in $50 increments.
Both the CSA and Farm Bucks are a great way to support local food growers and get a piece of the local goodness. The 3 farms also have a 20 week CSA. For details, you can visit
